This sculpture is a maquette (smaller version) of my life-sized sculpture by the same name. Frequently mountain lions are viewed as being a dangerous pest. Living in the mountains where these beautiful creatures are constantly around, I have never felt threatened by their presence, only in awe of their beauty when I am privileged enough to see them.
