Workshops

Throughout my life I have held a strong belief in sharing what we know and in giving back.  Due to the tremendous success of this past week I have decided to hold annual sculpture workshops for students of all levels of experience. I will share the expertise I have developed over many years, and provide assistance in the creation of realistic and/or whimsical sculptures of human, wildlife, and domestic animal subjects. Because it is an integral part of the overall sculpture process, we also delved into Marketing and sales.  The students were so interested in this that from now on it will be discussed in much greater detail.  Loveland, Colorado is well known as being a mecca not only for sculpture but for sculptor’s resources. Future classes will also include a tour of a local foundry, a professional base maker dedicated to sculpture, and a state-of-the-art sculpture enlargement facility, as well as a demonstration on mold making. We incorporated this in this past class and all visits to these facilities was met with great enthusiasm. We use oil-based clay designed for the production of bronze sculpture. However, in order to assist those interested in resin casting, we can incorporate a demonstration in that as an option.

Please send an email to: christineknappsculpture13@gmail.com if you would like to be put on the notification list for future class offerings.
