Five Day Animal or Figurative Sculpture Classes with
Christine Knapp

In this workshop, we will be illustrating how to construct a sculpture of an animal or a human in a dynamic pose using oil-based clay. We will discuss proportion, anatomy, and its functions, as well as how it can be applied to creating an energetic and attractive pose. An important foundation of any sculpture will be an effective armature, which will be customized for each student. Emphasis will be placed on portraying the emotion of your piece. Each student can pick their own individual subject and the pose they wish.

All students will tour a local foundry together to increase their understanding of the bronze process.

All materials needed for class can be purchased at Sculpture Depot (at a discount) or you can provide your own. Unfortunately, class size is limited to 10 students so Christine can give individual instruction to all participants. Because of this, it is important to sign up as soon as possible.
