What a surprise and honor to receive the coveted Rose Award at the SKB Workshop in remembrance of Susan Kathleen Black in DuBois, Wyoming last week. I have been proud to be a member of this group for the last 16 years. It is a wonderful opportunity for both new and established artists to receive mentorship and instruction from world renowned artists such as John& Susie Seery-Lester, Mort Solberg, Heiner Hertling, Lee Cable, John Hulsey, Caleb Yarger, Georgia Manseur, David Rankin and many others. A wonderful time was enjoyed by all participants, and was over way too soon. A special debt of appreciation and gratitude to Jim Parkman, the SKB board of directors, and Pam Cable who continuously pour forth tremendous efforts to promote art and art education.
