Sometime in the late 1970s, registered nurses stopped wearing their school caps. Each school presented their graduates with a cap unique to that school which the nurses proudly wore.

Primarily because of practicality, that tradition faded, but the graduates of those programs still cherish the fond memories their cap evoked. This is the third such Sculpture I have been asked to create. The first was for Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton Ohio, and the second for Stamford Hospital, Stamford Connecticut. Being a retired RN myself, I was deeply honored to create each bronze.
